Join Scouting

If you live in the Great Trails Council service area,
call (413) 684-3542 to find out about joining or starting a local Scouting unit.
If you're between the ages of 6 and 20, you might be interested in one of the Scouting programs. If you're a parent, you might be interested in volunteering to be a Scout leader. Scouting offers a time-tested set of activities that have produced fine citizens, dedicated family members, and strong community leaders for more than 90 years.

Cub Scouts
Cub Scouts do fun things with other kids! They get to wear a cool uniform, go places, and see things. They play all kinds of sports and build things, like race cars and bird houses. Want to learn a secret code? Want to learn about wild animals? If you're a boy in the first through fifth grades (ages 7 to 10), then Cub Scouting is for you!

Boy Scouts
Boy Scouts get away from it all! They camp, hike, and fish in the great outdoors. They get together in troops, and try out new experiences. Boy Scouting is available to boys who are 11 through 17 years old, or who have earned the Arrow of Light Award, or have completed the fifth grade.
